Poor, Misguided Raven Symone is back in the headlines fueling another racial issue. Just months earlier the former child star told Oprah that she doesn’t identify herself as a black person…..she is just human. Black America and even aunty O took the actress words as slander towards her own race. Why could see deny such a rich culture? Is she ashamed of her African American hertiage? Well, this week she proves to the world all over again that she has little respect for African Americans. Let’s give you the background!!!!!!!!
The actress guest starred on The View and seemed to support the Univision host Rodner Figueroa who was fired after making a crack about Michelle Obama looking like an ape. Well, Raven-Symone expressed her views on the issue on her recent appearance on The View and said “some people look like animals.” Really Raven?! How could you make a statement like that, undermining the harshness of his words. Black people where called “Monkeys” from White people since slavery. Our lives were valued less than a damn animal………and you find humor in his remark. Yes, she may be BIRACIAL, but sweetheart the BLACK in you is evident and beautiful! Check out some of the comments from Rosie Perez, who personally took offense towards the racial comments and was more than vocal about it.
Rosie Perez said: “A lot of Latin people recognize the fact that we do have African blood in us. A lot of them do not want to recognize that fact, and that’s where this stems from,” she said on Monday’s show. “There is a secret in the Latin community, specifically the Caribbean, South American, Central American, Latin community, that they are very racist,” she added. “They never want to be in the same group as black people. And it’s sad. It’s very, very sad. And he did say Michelle Obama looks like a cast member of the Planet of the Apes.”
Symone said: “Was he saying it racist-like? Because, he said that he voted for her later and I don’t think he was saying it racist.” Perez was gobsmacked. “Oh, please! That’s like saying ‘I’m not a racist, I have black friends.’ I’m sorry, that’s racist.”
Raven better get it together because she is starting to pour in roles since her guest appearance on the hit show Empire, which featured a predominately all BLACK cast. Girl….Hush up before you are BLACKBALLED!
